Carolina Forest Homes For Sale

It should be no surprise that Myrtle Beach is in the middle of a housing boom. I mean, who wouldn’t want to LIVE at the beach? I used to joke to my friends living in Pennsylvania that I “live where you vacation”. So what’s keeping you in those colder climates? Is it your job? Family? If you don’t have an excuse, perhaps it’s time to explore your options in coastal Carolina. Below are a few communities that offer Carolina Forest homes for sale as well as the local benefits to living in each.

Sago Plantation

Conveniently located near Highway 501 in the Carolina Forest section of Myrtle Beach, Sago Plantation is full of custom built Carolina Forest homes for sale ranging from the low $200s to the mid $300s. The homes here are perfect for a retirement home or a golf vacation rental property.

Do you like to play golf? Sago Plantation is a 3 minute drive to the three Legends 18 hole golf courses, Parkland, Moorland & Heathland. All three courses are absolutely stunning and well maintained, perfect for the average hacker or the seasoned veteran. During the summer, Legends offers local passes where you can play golf and have a few beers for a heavily discounted price.

Are you a shopaholic? The 501 Tanger Outlets are literally right across the street. With over 50 unique stores to choose from, the Tanger Outlets will cater to the whole family. Directly to the left of the outlets is the brand new Gander Mountain store as well. So if your husband is the manly man who won’t go shopping with you, tell him to head over there and look at some hunting equipment for a few hours while you get yourself a new designer purse from Coach.

Turnberry Park At The Legends Resort

This Scottish style village is comprised of luxurious golf villas. The villas at Turnberry Park provide a multitude of friendly accommodations. These units are used primarily as second homes, but can also generate rental income. In Turnberry Park at the Legends Resort, there are 38 buildings with 196 units.

Much like Sago Plantation, Turnberry Park is within walking distance of the three Legends golf courses and the Tanger Outlets. Turnberry Park is a few miles from Downtown Conway which is filled with locally owned boutiques and cafes as well. My favorite spot in all of South Carolina for donuts and pastries is The Trestle Bakery on Main Street in Conway. Oh my! First off, their glazed donuts are as big as your head. But the reason I go there is for their cream-filled donuts. they are absolutely heaven in your mouth. Don’t take my word for it though, get down here and experience it for yourself!

Legends Golf & Resort: Play & Stay

Legends Golf & Resort offers 54 holes of breathtaking golf in Myrtle Beach as well as condos, villas and homes to rent or purchase.

The Legends golf courses are managed by the Arnold Palmer Golf Management company, so clearly they are in great hands! The Legends group consists of 5 golf courses, 3 of which are located just off Highway 501 near Carolina Forest (Heathland, Moorland & Parkland). Oyster Park is located in Sunset Beach, North Carolina and Heritage Plantation resides in Pawleys Island, SC. All 5 courses are some of the best golf courses to play along the Grand Strand, and very affordable as well.

As you approach the Legends facility just off 501, you will pass several communities along the way. Sago Plantation offers homes for sale starting at $220,000. Turnberry Park and Gleneagles condos are also available for monthly or annual rentals. The best thing about staying in the Legends Resort is the proximity to everything in Myrtle Beach. Aside from being minutes away from three 18-hole golf courses, you are only a 15 minute drive to Conway and less than a 5 minute drive to Carolina Forest. Highway 501 will take you directly to downtown Myrtle Beach where you will find several hundred restaurants and attractions.

Within 20 minutes is also The Market Common, Myrtle Beach’s most up and coming neighborhood. Here you will find several restaurants and popular retail stores to satisfy the entire family. Market Common also hosts several Myrtle Beach events throughout the year such as Oktoberfest and weekly events during the summer.
